Before During After a group exhibition hosted at Double Doors in Anton Mills, Ontario. The group was speaking of time. I was dealing with the Before. Exploring the memories of my past that led into childhood memories They also dealt with issues of religious connotation and male involvement with leads to larger conversations by the viewer.
The During was dealt with by Veronica Black. Her process based work spoke about being present in the moment of making the work. Loosing yourself in the now. Her loose brush strokes creates aesthetic pleasure that was created by musical notes. Letting the music and color create the movement on the canvas.
Greg Ivany took on The After. This photographs carried a post apocalyptic feel. The absence of human life was apparent with the erie lighting he seemed to always capture.
